TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided by the school. However, there are car pools arranged among parents. We offer school directories that can be used to contact parents in your area.
LUNCH PROGRAM
Hot lunches are available for purchase. Specific information will be discussed at Orientation.
DRESS CODE
Elementary students are required to wear uniforms. For Middle and High School students, modest, casual attire is permitted. While our standards are high, our focus is on the inside, not on the outer man. Our dress and outward appearance is but one reflection of our Christian testimony. Specific guidelines are outlined in the Student Handbook.
PARENT INVOLVEMENT
Our parents are actively involved in our daily program and are
encouraged to participate. We have an
active Family Partnership, with informative meetings held on a
regular basis. Parents are required to volunteer twenty-four hours per school year per family. There are many opportunities available. Please see the Parent-Student Handbook for more specific information. To find out more, please click
here.
FINANCIAL STABILITY
Almost all funds for support of VCA come from tuition and fees, donations, and fundraisers. Tuition and fees do not cover the cost of our school, however we continue to keep our costs as low as possible to remain available for as many students as possible. We keep our finances "in the black" and are not in any way a liability to the church.
HOME SCHOOLERS
We welcome home schoolers and support the active home school movement in the area. We will work directly with families who have decided on a transition from home to a Christian school. We will need standardized testing scores, course completion and testing documentation, and all available transcript information before consideration can be made.
SUMMER PROGRAM (ppt.)
A Summer Program is offered for children 3 years old thru 5th grade. Our goal is for the children to get away from the serious side of school, moving into a more fun-loving but very structured setting. Activities will include sports, multicultural activities, crafts, music, dance, drama, art, board games and field trips.
Camp hours are from 8:15 AM - 5:30 PM with children arriving no earlier than
7:30 AM and picked up no later than 6:00 PM. Fees are charged
for this service. You will find more information and an application for this
ministry by click on the following links:
